Our mission is to create a welcoming social environment where members can learn to row and sail, grow into skilled rowers and sailors, and fully enjoy life on the water. Whether competing, touring, or simply socializing, our focus is on fostering friendships and creating memorable experiences.

Our fleet features J/24 boats, the world’s most popular keelboat class. With over 5,500 boats built and more than 50,000 active sailors across 150 fleets in 40+ countries, the J/24 offers an unparalleled sailing experience.
The J/24 is fun to sail and provides a multi-generational platform for learning and growth. It’s the perfect vessel for young sailors to develop responsibility, build confidence in handling a keelboat, and master the teamwork skills needed for successful competition.
For dinghy sailors of all ages, the J/24 bridges the gap between the responsiveness of small boats and the rewarding challenge of big-boat racing.
Coastal Rowing offers an exhilarating twist on traditional rowing, allowing rowers to embrace the ocean and waves instead of limiting themselves to flat water.
The Coastal Rowing Beach Sprint is set to debut as an Olympic discipline at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
Our club features Swift Racing CO1x and CO2x boats, offering singles and doubles options. A safety boat is available for all activities, and we provide a dedicated launch area with direct ocean access.
Swift Racing has proudly served as the official supplier for the World Rowing Coastal Championships (WRCC) since 2018.
We welcome members with both recreational goals and competitive ambitions.
How to Join
Joining the Boca Chica Rowing and Sailing Club is simple! Start by completing the Membership Application, available through this link or at our premises.
Once we receive your completed application, the Club Office will contact you to schedule a meeting.
You’ll have a brief 10-minute interview with our Membership Committee.
Upon a successful meeting and acceptance into the Club, you can immediately begin sailing lessons and participate in our social programs. After completing the Introduction Course, you’ll be ready to start sailing!
